Activities of UAE Chapter
First of all, UAE chapter acknowledges the efforts of IBA Alumni Association to establish an effective communication and coordination among the members of the Association around the globe.
UAE chapter, which was established for a long time now, is a result of this effort owing to Mr. Anas Ganaie who is the most well-known and very proactive member of the Association. He had been collecting necessary information from those who were settled and/or settling in the UAE. In 2015 a WhatsApp group was created to bring all the Alumni in the UAE together. Journey of effective communication started between the Alumni once they got connected on a platform and exchanged their views on different topics around us.
In 2019, the first get-together was arranged which was attended by over 20 alumni. It was a great time and everybody introduced themselves and felt pleased while discussing about our alma mater, the great IBA PU. A feeling of joy had surrounded every member and discussions were never ending. Later on, another meetup was arranged over a dinner in 2019 where more than 20 alumni sat together enjoying a beautiful evening while discussing many ideas and plans for them in the UAE.
After Pandemic hit the globe, it was impossible for the members to meet and to translate these plans into action. However, the virtual trainings from a respected alumnus Mr. Kamran Siddiqui served a pleasant change during the depressing times. He conducted a couple of online trainings for the alumni in the UAE and Pakistan.
In the future, UAE Chapter is planning to execute a couple of trainings on the following topics:
- Professional Grooming – Mr. Kamran shall present and train interested Alumni for professional grooming
- Spiritual Grooming – Mr. Awais, current convener of UAE Chapter, shall conduct a training on the importance of Spiritual Grooming. Spiritual Grooming is a must part of our personalities and must be addressed especially during the current testing times. It will be helpful to learn to manage work home and one shall be able to spare some “me time” to get connected to the Almighty Allah.
